If you are already in love with the underwater world and looking to increase your depth limit, abilities, and skills, the advanced diving course is the perfect next step for you. Designed for divers who have completed the Open Water Diver Course and are eager for the next adventure, this course offers a range of exciting opportunities to further explore the wonders of the underwater realm. The advanced course builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired during the open water course and takes divers to new depths, both literally and figuratively. It is an excellent way to expand your diving horizons and gain more confidence and competence underwater.

What You Should Expect

During the advanced course you can expect to reach new depths and explore more diverse dive sites under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. Unlike the open water course there is no confined water training or exams, however if it has been more than six months since your last dive we do suggest a SCUBA reactivate prior to starting the course to check your knowledge and skills are where they need to be to ensure you have fun and safe open water training dives. During the dives you will be able to go deeper, learn more advanced navigation techniques, Improve your buoyancy control, experience wrecks, night diving, fish ID and more!

+ What You'll Need

You will need to already be open water certified, have a swim suit and be ready to learn. Some students will also need medical clearance from a medical professional prior to any in water activity. See the medical below!

+ How Long It Will Take

The program takes two days to complete from start to finish! The course contains five training dives broken up over two days. To take advantage of your free fun dives you may choose to stay an extra day!

Advanced Open Water Course Structure

Knowledge Development

This course has less coursework than the open water course but still has a few necessary knowledge reviews. You will complete one diver on how to better think like a diver before diving into the dive specific sections such as wreck, deep and navigation. Once you have completed the independent study you will review the knowledge reviews with your instructor.

Open Water Sessions

Open Water During your five open water training dives you will be on three separate boat trips. You will be required to complete a Deep dive to 30 meters, a navigation dive as a part of the course, the other three dives are elective dives, this means you can choose from an array of adventure dives. Our most popular adventure dives are wreck, peak performance buoyancy, night, fish ID and Naturalist. If you truly enjoy one or all of the dives you could then continue on with the specialty course!
