Sam left a stressful and fast paced job in the heart of London England after making one of the most important decisions of his life: to live in a warmer place and to have a more fulfilling job.
He came to Utila with the idea to make it home for an indefinite amount of time and has happily become a part of the Underwater Vision family.
After completing his PADI Divemaster, PADI IDC, PADI MSDT Sam progressed to the PADI IDC Staff Instructor rating with Course with Diego Frank in September 2014. Sam was runner up for the world wide PADI Elite Instructor competition in 2015!
Some of the most amazing elements of Sam enjoys about life right now are that he gets to swim in the Caribbean every day and that he simply loves his job.
Being a Scuba Diving Instructor at the PADI Staff Instructor Development Course level means that Sam gets to meet new people from all walks of life almost every day and share memorable underwater experiences with them.
Swimming with whale sharks and dolphins are undoubtedly the best experiences he has had diving in Utila he'll tell you. Sam also like the technical side of diving. He really loved the taste I got of cave diving in Mexico as well as the diving in Koh Tao Thailand. Now as a TecRec Deep Diver he hope to explore many different locations still.
Sam claim that he doesn't really have a favourite course to teach as they all have their own special elements: the PADI Open Water Diver course is inspiring because he gets to introduce a completely new world to people. He likes to teach the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course because he gets to help divers improve their skills and ultimately their future experiences will be better for it. The PADI Rescue Diver course is also a great one as even though it is a somewhat serious course, it is one of the most fun to teach!
